The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology is searching for PhD student guest researchers to spend up to one (1) year on the Gaithersburg Maryland campus working with the Indoor Air Quality and Ventilation Group of the Engineering Laboratory to advance the goals of validating multizone and computational fluid dynamic (CFD) indoor air models. The guest researcher must be self-funded; NIST will not be providing a salary or stipend of any kind. The guest researcher must have knowledge, skills, and interest in indoor air ANSYS CFD, DesignBuilder and Modelica model. Knowledge and experience in PM2.5, temperature and relative humidity sensor calibration is a must. Qualifications include master’s degree in in Building Sciences or related field. A record of conference proceeding publication in these areas is required.
