Martin works at the Environmental Health Unit, National Institute for Health and Welfare, Finland, where he is heading a multidisciplinary research team interested in indoor exposures and associated health effects. His research has a focus on indoor microbial exposure assessment and on elucidating both beneficial and adverse health effects associated with indoor and environmental microbiota more broadly.
